PORCELAIN MAGIC…

we are full on potty toilet training now. surprisingly, chase has been very up for it. he sits on the potty toilet every evening before bed and sometimes in the morning (though he’s not so much a morning boy, so i don’t always force the issue). however, there are a few moderate issues…

YUM, YUM, YUM…

had lunch at north market today.  i normally don’t go there b/c it’s crowded and i’m just not all into people and being rammed into with flower bouquets and jars of salsa.  but i gave in b/c i was in the mood for some turkey pastrami and my office mate was craving ice cream. 

so very glad i did.  

lemon blueberry yogurt from jeni’s ice cream!  OMG.  i am in love!  even their flavor names are to die for…

Riesling Poached Pear Sorbet - the flavor and texture of a ripe juicy pear

Strawberry Rose Petal - sweet-tart strawberries with the slightest hint of the lightest rose petal

Salty Caramel - a traditional French-style caramel, with caramelized sugars, butter and sea salt

Maker’s Mark Buttered Pecan - a big bourbon bite with toasted, buttered and sea-salted pecans

what i like even better is that they use ingredients from local companies (stauf’s coffee, krema peanut butter and sugardaddy’s brownies to name a few).  seriously, if you’re in the columbus area, check them out.

AHOY, MATEY…

m’s parents own a couple of sailboats.  i’ve been on them a time or two, and while i’m not big on boats (unless they are cruiseliners), i’ve always had a fantastic time (minus the camping).  when chase was born, m’s dad (heretofore known as gramps) planted in my head that someday at sometime no matter how scary it might be or paranoid i might get, chase WOULD be on those boats and WOULD go sailing.  no ifs ands or buts about it.  i suppose i held off as long as i could…

OH, THOMAS…

chase loves pretty much ANYTHING with wheels, but his newest love is thomas the train (i refuse to call thomas a tank engine, as does chase). we’ve been watching some episodes of THOMAS AND FRIENDS on “on demand” and i’ve noticed a few things that really bother me:

DATING…

chase had a date today.  he and michelle went to the movies.  YES!  a 2 year old in the movie theater with other people oh my!  and he did fabulously.  according to michelle…
